Water for Elephants movie is a 2011 American drama film based on the novel by Sara Gruen of the same name, directed by Francis Lawrence from a screenplay by Richard LaGravenese.

Reese Witherspoon stars as Marlena Rosenbluth, Robert Pattinson as Jacob Jankowski and Rosenbluth Christoph Waltz in August.

The film was released in the United States and Canada on April 22, 2011 and received mixed reviews from film critics, but received a “rotten ” rating at Rotten Tomatoes based on comments added, and a grade of “mixed or comments media “on Metacritic.

Plot
An Ivy League veterinary student Jacob Jankowski Robert Pattinson drop out when their parents die suddenly. He ends up joining a circus, where he falls for a charming animal trainer Marlena Rosenbluth Reese Witherspoon.

But their love is forbidden by the ruthless ringmaster August Rosenbluth Christoph Waltz, which seeks to destroy anyone who challenges his will.
