Dinner for Schmucks is a comedy film, and a remake of the 1998 French film The Dinner Game (”Le Dîner de Cons”, an adaptation of the long-lasting eponymous Francis Veber play)
The film was directed by Jay Roach, written by David Guion and Michael Handelman, and starring Steve Carell and Paul Rudd, who last teamed up on Anchorman and The 40 Year-Old Virgin.
It is scheduled to be released on July 30, 2010.
Plot
Tim (Rudd) is a rising executive who “succeeds” in finding the perfect guest, IRS employee Barry (Carell), for his boss’s monthly event.
