Alice in Wonderland is a fantasy adventure film directed by Tim Burton.

It is an extension of the novels of Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. The film uses a technique that combines live action and animation.

Mia Wasikowska plays the role of Alice, opposite Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, Crispin Glover as The Knave of Hearts and Stephen Fry as the Cheshire cat.

The film will open in London at the Odeon Leicester Square on 25 February 2010. It will be released in the U.S. and the United Kingdom March 5, 2010 by Walt Disney Pictures in Disney Digital 3-D and IMAX 3-D, as well as regular theaters.

Plot
Alice Kingsley, 19, attends a party at a farm in Victoria shortly after the death of his beloved father.

Alice discovers a white rabbit wearing a waistcoat and pocket watch. In shock and confusion, slips into a labyrinth and follow the white rabbit through it.

Eventually falling into a rabbit hole in Underland, more commonly known as “Wonderland” by the locals. She had visited this place 10 years ago but had completely forgotten about it. She also said she is the only one who can kill the Jabberwock, the dragon that is terrorizing the people of the wonders under the rule of the Red Queen.
