The Yellow Handkerchief an independent drama film.
Located in what is now South, yellow handkerchief William Hurt stars as Brett, an ex-convict who embarks on a road trip with two teenagers with problems, Martine (Kristen Stewart) and Gordy (Eddie Redmayne) through post-Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana an attempt to reach his former wife and long lost love, May (Maria Bello).
Along the way, all three reflect on its existence, the struggle for acceptance, not only find their way through Louisiana, but throughout life.
Directed by Udayan Prasad and produced by Arthur Cohn, the yellow scarf is scheduled to be launched on 26 February 2010 by Samuel Goldwyn Films.
Plot
After being released from prison after six years, Brett Hanson ex-convict (William Hurt) is lost in a strange new world of freedom and responsibilities.
Struggling to reconcile with his disastrous past, he embarks on a journey to his home in southern Louisiana to meet with the ex-wife he left behind, May (Maria Bello).
Throughout this journey, he meets two teenagers: Martine (Kristen Stewart), 15 years old who has problems just escaped from his family, and Gordy (Eddie Redmayne), an outcast geek, who desperately seeks acceptance.
Martine and Gordy to give Brett offer take home, and the three embark on a road trip through Louisiana post-Hurricane Katrina, reflecting on his own personal situation of imbalance, while discovering themselves and each other’s acceptance so deeply individual desires.
Brett weighs the possibility of starting a new life or rekindle his love for May, Martine reevaluate their relationships with children and their families, and Gordy fight with his affection for Martine.
