Dear John is an upcoming romantic drama / war movie starring Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried.
Directed by Lasse Hallström, the film is an adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ novel of the same name.
It shows the life of a young woman (Amanda Seyfried) after she falls for a soldier (Channing Tatum). They decide to exchange letters each other after he was sent to war. The film, which will be released in North America on 5 February 2010.
Plot
John (a man of the army) and Savannah fell in love during annual leave for John.
The two wrote several letters to others to stay in touch, but as the years pass, everything begins to spread, including the father of John, and the seemingly unbreakable link between Savannah and John.
