Priest movie is a 2011 American action film starring Paul Bettany Supernatural as the title character. The film, directed by Scott Stewart, is based on the Korean comic book of the same name.

The Priest movie entered development in 2005, Screen Gems bought the spec script by Cory Goodman. In 2006 Andrew Douglas was responsible for directing and Gerard Butler attached to star.

They were eventually replaced by Stewart and Bettany in 2009 and shooting began in Los Angeles, California, later this year.

The release of the film has changed the dates on numerous occasions throughout 2010 and 2011. Was pushed back especially from 2010 to 2011 for converting 2D film into 3D. Is expected to be published for the first time in the United Kingdom, Slovenia and Spain on May 06, 2011.

An interview with Priest: Volume 3, Hyung Min-woo author states that the comic is inspired by the computer game Blood, which had a similar horror-western aesthetics and undead protagonist.

Plot Priest Movie
In an alternate world, humanity and vampires have fought for centuries. After the last war of the vampire, the veteran warrior priest (Bettany) lives in the dark with other human beings within a walled city of the Church.

When the priest’s niece (Lily Collins) is kidnapped by vampires, the priest breaks his promises to give chase. Is accompanied by his niece’s boyfriend (Cam Gigandet), a sheriff moor, and a former priestess Guerrero (Maggie Q).
