Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (aka Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief in the UK) is an upcoming Pagan fantasy adventure film directed by Christopher Columbus. The film is an adaptation of The Lightning Thief, the first novel in the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series by Rick Riordan. Logan Lerman crashes Percy Jackson as the starter alongside a cast that includes Brandon T. Jackson, Alexandra Daddario, Jake Abel, Rosario Dawson, Steve Coogan, Uma Thurman, Catherine Keener, Sean Bean and Pierce Brosnan. It is set to be released on February 12, 2010
Plot
A teenage boy named Percy Jackson (Logan Lerman) discovers that he is the demigod son of Greek god Poseidon. (Kevin McKidd). He embarks on a journey through modern day America with his friends Annabeth Chase (Alexandra Daddario), the demigod daughter of Athena, and Grover Underwood (Brandon T. Jackson), a satyr, to save his mother ( Catherine Keener), the return of Zeus “(Sean Bean) stolen lightning bolt and prevent a war between the gods.
