ub Time Machine is a 2010 science fiction film comedy directed by Steve Pink and produced by Artists MGM / United.
It stars John Cusack, Lyndsy Fonseca, Crystal Lowe, Rob Corddry, Duke Clark, Collette Wolfe and Craig Robinson. In addition to Cusack, the film also stars of 1980s films such as Chevy Chase, Crispin Glover and William Zabka.
The film was released on March 26, 2010.
Plot summary
In 2010, Los Angeles, three good friends have had a run of bad luck with his adult life: Adam has been dumped by his girlfriend and another video game obsessed nephew Jacob lives in your basement, Lou is a man of the match can not find the party and Nick has a dead-end job and an unfaithful wife named Courtney who controls his every move.
Lou was almost killed in a suicide attempt, accidental poisoning by carbon monoxide while singing Motley Crue drunk, although he denies that he was trying to commit suicide.
Adam and Nick take him impulsively and Jacob in the place of some of his most memorable weekends, the ski valley of Kodiak, who, like them, has fallen on hard times. After a wild night of drinking in a hot tub, kids wake up in 1986. The group can be seen as the appropriate age, but when they look at their reflections and all the others that appear as they did in 1986. However, Jacob, who has not even born yet, is still present in their normal state of 2010.
Arrive during the “Winterfest ‘86,” The Poison weekend when played before a huge crowd in the then thriving Resort Kodiak. It is also a time that was particularly hard on the group: Adam broke up with his first girlfriend, her sister, Kelly, Jacob conceived with his unknown father, Lou was beaten by Blaine, Hector ski patrol, Nick played less of a performance mediocre with his band in an open mic competition, and Phil, buttons on the town, lost his arm in a tragic accident without explanation.
The quartet are at first concerned about the butterfly effect, which if they change the slightest thing in this moment that could have drastic consequences in the future. They went out to do exactly what they did 20 years ago, but then decides that this can be an opportunity to change their destination and get the future they always wanted. However, when Jacob starts to blink in and out, players are warned that this weekend might have something to do with his birth and that if they mess up each time can not be conceived.
Adam’s girlfriend, Jennie, dumps him before that can dump, but ends up spending the night with a music journalist, April, Lou is beaten by Blaine, but this time finds the courage to fight with Adam and Nick giving the reasons stand up for himself and Nick rocks the crowd with his band. Lou Kelly and conceives seduces Jacob, and solving the identity of the father of Jacob.
Back at the resort, as the boys are set to return to 2010, Lou decides to stay in 1986, Adam admitted he was trying to commit suicide with carbon monoxide poisoning, and that if he is happen all over again . He also says he wants to use his knowledge of history to come to invest and do right by Kelly and Jacob.
Arriving back in 2010, Adam, Nick, and discovers that Lou Jacob, Kelly, and Jacob are a family enjoying a lavish lifestyle, as Lou has shamelessly exploited his knowledge of the future to become a rock star successful Internet entrepreneur. Adam discovers that he finally married in April, and Nick is a successful music producer with a loyal wife Courtney. Finally, Phil still has the arm, because after having been cut off that fateful night in 1986, the team of angry ski patrol chasing Adam, Nick, Lou, and Jacob ran into Phil and managed to run to him and his arm a hospital in time. The film ends with Adam, Nick, Lou and Jacob meet at Lou mansion with their families, satisfied with his new life.
