Green Lantern is a 2011 superhero film based on DC Comics character of the same name.
The film will star Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, with Martin Campbell directs a script by Greg Berlanti and Michael Green and comic writers Marc Guggenheim, which was subsequently rewritten by Michael Goldenberg.

Green Lantern is scheduled to be released on June 17, 2011 in 3D

The official synopsis of the production release of the May 2010 release reads:

In a universe so vast and mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, are called the Green Lantern Corps.

A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern has a ring that gives him superpowers. However, when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the universe, fate and the fate of Earth in the hands of their new recruit, the first human being ever selected: Hal Jordan.

Hal is a pilot test of talent and cocky, but the Green Lantern have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite power of the ring before.

But Hal is clearly the missing piece of the puzzle, and together with his determination and willpower, which is something that no member of the Corps has ever had: humankind.

With the support of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris (Blake Lively), Hal, if they can quickly master their new powers and find the courage to overcome their fears, they can become not only the key to defeating Parallax. .. will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.
