Monte Carlo is a 2011 American film romantic comedy directed by Tom Bezucha. Nicole Kidman, Denise Di Novi, Arnon Milchan and Alison Greenspan produced the film Fox 2000 Pictures and Regency Enterprises. Production began in Budapest on May 5, 2010.
Monte Carlo stars Selena Gomez, Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy as three friends posing as high society in Monaco. The film opened on July 1, 2011. It features the song “Who Says” Selena Gomez & the Scene.
Plot
The film begins with 18-year-old Selena Gomez Grace Bennett works in a restaurant with her best friend, Emma Perkins (Katie Cassidy), a high school dropout. Grace adds another bit of change in the jar marked “Grace Fund in Paris.” At graduation, the farewell is talking about when Meg Kelly-Bennett, Grace tense older half-sister, arrives late.
Everyone turns to look, embarrassing Meg. That night at dinner, stepfather of Grace (Brett Cullen) announces that it has paid for all the girls to go on a trip to France. Meg, who did not want to go with the girls, refuses. She says all her life that she wanted to be friends with Emma Perkins, and now are stuck going on a trip soon to be disastrous.
The trip turns out to be horrible, as they have been scammed by a small suite and have a small amount of time to visit many places. They left behind by your guide and walk through the streets, as the rains in search of coverage in a luxury hotel. While the girls are dried and Grace comes into a position, Cordelia Winthrop-Scott, a British heiress damaged (Selena Gomez) enters, complaining to your phone on a charity event to attend. Meg and Emma, ??after Cordelia leaves, trying to convince Grace that look exactly alike, but Grace does not believe this until they return to the room and all the errors of her as Cordelia.
The girls spend the night in the suite, while Cordelia Cordelia lets go elsewhere. Leaving the next day, they are attacked by hungry paparazzi with their cameras in Cordelia limousine. They realize they are on their way to Monte Carlo. The next day the girls met Theo, the son of philanthropist hosting Cordelia. Theo thinks Cordelia as a rude brat, and is cool to girls. They came with a ball, where Grace is a problem, because you know Aunt Cordelia Alicia suspects. Emma, ??the pursuit of wealth you’ve always wanted with her boyfriend Owen dancing with a prince. The girls return to the hotel.
That afternoon, the girls relax on the beach. Emma and Meg make sarcastic comments to each other Meg, accusing Emma lost her life for the dropout model, saying that no one missed her. Emma responded that Meg’s mother probably will not miss Meg, Meg because of the storm and hit Riley, someone whom he met in France. Then Grace plays polo with Theo. Aunt Alicia, suspicious phone calls from Cordelia. The real Cordelia shot, and later, Aunt Alicia Grace faces, thinking that Cordelia has hired a double to take his place, while the wild parties. She threatens to Grace, saying that if his plan sheets that have been arrested for identity fraud.
After the game, Theo has a special grace from him, and together they watch the fireworks. Meanwhile, Emma is dining with the prince she met the night before. She finds him to be nasty and arrogant as he makes a sarcastic remark about her the dishes, saying that there are people for that. She responds so coldly, “I know”, grab your things, and then go to a different part of the boat. Meanwhile, Meg is with Riley. He says he was a talented rugby player, but an injury kept him in hospital for a year.
She likes to travel. Meg opens with him about his mother, who was hospitalized for nearly two years. She says she wanted to scream when people showed so much sympathy, and the answers maybe Riley should. It does not, but the two share a passionate moment. While the girls are having fun, Owen, Emma’s boyfriend, a football player truck lover, arrives in France for Emma.
When he learns that the girls are in Monte Carlo, is going to win again Emma. Everything begins to unravel with Cordelia unexpected return. Theo, thinking that Cordelia is the grace, kisses, so you do get a slap. Cordelia then up to the room and the balcony, where the girls, after cleaning the room, he hid. Cordelia is back in the room and throw away a half-eaten apple left Meg, and then go to a newspaper about the girls in the trash.
She calls the police and runs to see if the precious necklace Bvlagri planned to be sold at auction is still there. Is not, as Meg put Riley’s backpack for safekeeping. The chase girls after Riley, now on its way to Italy. Too late, and return to the hotel. Grace, in a moment of sheer determination, kisses Theo, what to tell a button “. I do not understand women” The manager asked if the police asked, Grace and says no.
The three then proceeded to the suite, where they find Cordelia. Furious, she called the police again, and Emma ties in another room while the police arrive. They say they heard screams, in which Meg tells him that Grace was so happy I found the necklace.
Police back down, and so does Meg. She meets with Riley, which gives the necklace. Above, Emma meets Owen. The two reconcile as Cordelia escapes. For now, the grace and Meg have gone to the charity event, Cordelia accidents. She tells everyone that grace is an impostor, shocking Theo.
Grace Cordelia demands of detainees, but no one cares about your Aunt Alice bought the necklace of 7 million. Theo leaves. After the trip of a lifetime, Meg climbs on top of an ancient ruin with Riley, and together they shout. In its own place, kitchen Emma Owen while installing the lights went out she always wanted, and the two laugh. Grace, volunteering with children, trips to the post office like Theo is. The two are back with a smile.
